I have asked this several times before, but I keep hoping someone who has this information may be reading. I am looking for any help finding a Mary Nerve Robinson (this is the way my aunt has spelled it, but it may be Manerva. On her headstone it is Mary N. Hampton). I have a birthdate of 3-7-1874, but was also told by the same person that gave me this date that she was 15 when she married in 1899 so the birthdate could be 1884. I know for sure she was married to Newt Hampton. She died June 20, 1902 t
I received many replies to my inquiry concerning the 14th Cavalry and I want to thank all of you. It is amazing how many members of the KY Clay group there are who are very knowledgeable and willing to share information.

ADVICE BEFORE MARRIAGE
By Jess Wilson
I woke up this morning from a nightmare. I was about to be tarred and feathered for advocating that ever prospective bride should require their prospective groom to attend a special courses to learn what is required for a successful marriage. Ruth and I discussed the idea during breakfast. Our conclusion, after more than 63 years of experience, was that what would be good for the gander would also be equally as beneficial for the goose.
As to what we could lend to s

Thanks for any help.

Hi Cosetta,
I think that is wrong. In both 1850 and 1860 Clay census, Claiborne &
Action do not have a son named Levi, only sons John and Daniel near the
right age. Levi is listed with Granville in the 1860 Clay Co. census age
15. I didn't find Granville for 1850. Further the Hunt family bible
lists "Levi Hacker, son of Granville born April 5, 1844." I'd be happy
to share info. Thanks, Judy

One widow that solved the problem of poverty in her old age before the Social Security act was passes did it by becoming a troubadour, simply visiting 365 days a year. Since she stayed only one night at each place, she never had time to wear out her welcome.

Martha,
You are right. We do not know who Adoniram "Teges" wife was...the best one
I have found was Elizabeth Morris. I suppose it made sense because
Adoniram's youngest son was Morris Allen. I have a question mark for me
with that name. I think that Martha Riddle is the same person as Lucinda
Riddle. I think that the names have been mixed up over the years. If
anyone has anything different, I would sure like to know!

AN ALLEY CAT

We have a house pet of a kind I like. Although it is a large dark, fat cat, sex unknown, asleep in a bowl it does not shed hair or dandruff in case you are alergic to such. It never sscratches the furniture. It does notgo around leaving its scent mark on the carpet. It never has to be let out side nor do you have to clean a litter box.
It is a carving made from a walnut burl found in an alley in Lexington by our friend Policeman Enoch Combs Hall, the third, usually refer
