1. Re: [KYCLAY] Alex Mills & Polly Jackson [1]
Penny and Donald, This James Lyttle was a young man who taught school during the Civil War area. He married Sally Ann Allen and had one son. Shortly after that, he was killed by his best friend on an Election Day. From what I know, his best friend had been drinking and was shooting up the town. Therefore, the Sheriff got James in an attempt to get the gun away from him, since James was his best friend. The man shot James and left town. Hazel Roche' ----- Original Message ----- From: "Penny"
2. [KYCLAY] Ballard and Sisk Families [1]
My Ballard line comes from VA. Byrom Ballard married Eleanor Candler>Mary Ballard m. Moses Cadwalader>Judith Cadwalader m. Isaac Lewis>my lines continue with Lewis' until Helen Lewis m. There are several Mary Sisk's in Hopkins county born abt. 1843 so I have been unable to determine who my Mary Sisk's parents

4. [KYCLAY] Jim Howard [1]
We are going to need some help on this one. Jess should be able to give a verification. I am by no means an expert on the Howards. It has been several years since I read the book, but from memory and we all know that is not what it once was. I want to say that the same Jim Howard that killed George "Baldy" Baker was the one that was involved in the Gobel slaying and was know as "Assessor" Jim Howard. You will note that they stated during the program that Jim Howard walked down the hall from his office

6. Re: [KYCLAY] Writing better queries [1]
Yea Leon for your "Help" article. All of us can use help. I recently wrote to one of the persons on the list suggesting they not use all caps. I got back a real ugly reply saying that I was ungrateful for the info they were giving. When I see all caps i just delete. It is too hard to read. Have you traced any of your Morris family into Alabama? Regards, Mary Winn Anderson A Weaver/Cloyd descendant
