Although I heard John claimed to be 113, I have seen other claims that he was actually 104...born in 1764. 3. I thought Joh

Betty Young, You asked, "Jess.. what is the PINE ROOM ?? just curious." Once upon a t ime, that area of our Cabin was a screened porch. It was the second screened porch at the Cabin. At first, the Cabin was a story and a half, double log house with the dogtrot enclosed to make a small kitchen between the Gabriel and Elvira Pigg Section and the Isaac Morris section, the original owners of the two cabins we bought and reassembled. To this we added the first screened porch that was positioned length-wi

Jackie Kinder, I hope to complete my revision of James Bowman's The Philip Wilson family. The Pleasant Wilson that married Nancy Stapleton was born in 1815 in KY. He was a son of Jonathan and Sallie Cobb Wilson. Jonathan was a son of Philip and Rebecca (probably Connelly) Wilson. Jonathan had brothers, Philip, Jr., Pleasant and John, my gg gfather. My father's name was Pleasant. Bowman listed only two children of your Pleasant and Nancy: Sally Ann, born 1847 and Alfred , born 1849. Perhaps you can help me h

22. [KYCLAY-L] Clay County Phone Book? [1]
If there is someone on this list that still lives in Clay County, I would very much appreciate if you would look in the Clay County phone book for my uncle's name. He spent several years living in London, KY, but I have reason to believe that he came back to Clay County in 1993. I'm sorry, but I don't know what city he would be living in. In all honesty, I'm not sure if he is still living. His name is Walter Collins. I'm the youngest daughter of his oldest brother, Cicero. I hope this is not too "of

A Question, That requires an answer from someone with your knowledge on the subject. I sent for the pension application of John Gilbert b. 1835. The archives sent me two reply's. The first was the standard $10.00 and we will send the file to you. The second was, send $60.00 and we will send you the 203 page application. My question is: Would there be anything in the entire application that I would not be able to gleen from the smaller version or should I go a head and get the entire application? I wou

Thi8s is a wee portion of a very bad copy of a letter sent to one Smith cousin to another. I do not know who. But, it has a large hing where we might be able to discover our line. If anyone on this list lives around or about this Rowan Co. Library in Salisbury, NC. I would appreciate and be willing to pay for all costs involved in looking up these files: Dear Cousin is how the letter starts in 1960.
