Is anyone researching these families? I have some info on these that are
from Clay Co. Here is the Smith 1880 family that connects through
Blevins Smith. The Mother is Julie A Hubbard Smith.

Workin on the Greer family web site and family again.
Checking the children of John Greer and Kate Stivers:
I came across info on George Buck Greer born 1894:
I have him married to Callie Fields.
There is a listing for a George Buck Greer in the
A.R.Dyche Memorial Cemetery for him but lists a Callie Reid Greer
.
Did George Buck Greer marry Callie Fields or Callie Reid

Many of the counties in KY have a genealogical society of some sort. In
Clay Co., there is the Clay Co. Genealogical and Historical Society, Inc.
Their mail address is: P. O. Box 394, Manchester, KY 40962-0394. Cost
of membership is $18 annually. They publish many of the transcribed
census and other records, have a permanent office with published resources,
and they publish the "Clay Co. Ancestral News" periodically . As a
member, you receive this very worthwhile publication and may p
Someone asked a few days ago about cemeteries in Spring Creek. I don't
know this area very well, but a few years back A very wonderful man by
the name of Ronald Baker took me to the old Delph cemetery in Spring
Creek. Ron knew this mountain and area like no one else could. This was
mostly a Delph Cemetery but there were other stones back there. I don't think
I could get back there again if I tried though.
I'm sure there are more old cemeteries in the area also.
Cassy.

I have to agree with Jesse and Kay.
I can't vote in the US but it seems to me that having one party control the
House, the Senate and the Presidency, works against the original concept of
the US government which was to stop any one person having ultimate power.
Just my two cents, and now back to my genealogy....

Thanks Joyce,
My grandmother was a Taylor so I was curious, her line is from Pendleton
Taylor who came from Grainger county TN ended up in Owsley county and then
when Wolfe county was formed died there in 1876. His heritage is unknown at
this time but he was born in NC, Orange county I suspect..
