Dear Members of the Greenup County, Kentucky Discussion Group, Thus far, I have found one McAllister household on the 1876 map of Greenup County, Kentucky. He was H. McAllister, whose home was on Dry Run of Schultz Creek. He lived near Dr. Moore and a church. To locate where H. McAllister lived, start east of South Portsmouth, Kentucky, where Tygart Creek flows into the Ohio River. Follow Tygart Creek to where Schultz Creek flows into Tygart. Follow Schultz Creek a short distance to Dry Run of Schultz. H.

8. [KyGreenup] Landowners in Northwestern Tip of Greenup County, Kentucky, 1876 [1]
Dear Members of the Greenup County, Kentucky Discussion Group, On my circa-1855 and 1876 maps of Greenup County, Kentucky, the names of the landowners are shown, with a small solid square to indicate the location of the dwellinghouse. Sometimes it is the surname only and sometimes the first initial of the given name or the first two or three letters of the given name are included. Sadly enough, the full name occurs only sometimes. We researchers must try to identify who each Thompson is. There was a road
9. [KyGreenup] 1857 and 1876 Maps of Greenup County, Kentucky [1]
Dear List Members Researching Greenup County, Kentucky, Several researchers have asked me where I obtained the old maps of Greenup County, Kentucky. They are geological survey maps. One map was made in 1857 (the one I have been referring to as "circa-1855"). The other map was made in 1876. I have a copy of a third map, which was made in the 1880s, but it does not have as much detail on it, as far as names. I made copies of the maps while researching at the Kentucky Historical Society Library (Kentucky Hist
