James Rankin Courtney and his wife Sarah Embry moved to Harrison Co Kentucky (west bank of the Licking River I believe) in the early 1800's. His son Robert married Mary "Polly" Garton, daughter of James Garton in 1818. After Robert's death Polly moved with her son Robert Embry to Missouri before 1848. I think James Garton's wife is Nancy Ann Clark James and Sarah Courtney also had a son James who married Polly's sister Martha "Patsy" Garton. Hi, I've been uploading pages of pictures of cemeteries in Harrison County and you can visit them by clicking on "CEMETERIES & MONUMENTS' at the tope of the Harrison County page. I will be adding pictures of tombstones to the pages in the next couple of weeks (A few are already there, but mostly for decoration). 5. Katrina and Doug Harper Good News [1]
I am in Moulton, AL but plan to leave on Wednesday to go back to Biloxi. A little after 8 p.m. last night I tried to get in phone contact with either of my next door neighbors. Got through to Jim Taylor which was great. He told me that my house is in good shape with some of the patio cover missing or damaged and some small trees down. The trees are probably some Bradford Pears that I planted a couple of years ago and are not too big. He also said that there did not appear that there was any
