Does anyone know exactly what records are available for Callowy Co.? I
have searched only to find very little available. My family is not
listed anywhere. They lived there from 1840 to about 1865.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Debbie
My friends -
Requests for the Fulton County Yellow Fever File from yesterday's data
post(to the JP and Hickman Lists) have reached a total of 97 with requests
still coming in. That's not yet a record, but its getting close. That item
caused a good deal of interest.
Today, we return to the more "normal" type of data posts, with resumption
of our review of the Marshall County Vital Statistics birth records in the
1852-1859 time frame. In prior posts, we had worked our way up to the year
1855, and we will co

List members and Bill,
Please accept my apology for sending the prior message out to the list. I am trying to "catch up" and failed
to change the address of the edited version I send out to family and friends.

Does anyone have any idea where I may look to find a marriage record for my
great grandmother, Nellie Green Orr to Robert Lee Bennett. I found her bible
record while visiting my Mom over Thanksgiving and it shows her being married
on Nov. 28, 1906 in Fulton, KY. But when I sent away for a copy of it from
Fulton County, they said they had no record. I don't even know where to look
at this point.
Happy Holidays to all on the list and my the year 2000 bring all of us great
luck in finding our missing
What names are you researching

Dear JP Rooters,
First of all, I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to Bill for
posting the funeral picture tonight for me. While visiting my parents
near Piggott, Arkansas, over Thanksgiving, I made a trip to Bardwell
to visit a great aunt who is in a nursing home there. I hadn't
visited that area for at least 45 years, and I had forgotten how
beautiful the area is!
While visiting with my parents, my mother who is 80, got out a box of
old pictures that belonged to my grandfather, THOMAS FRANKLIN S
When I was at the new KY history center, there was a section of school
records for some counties. (Frankfort, KY)
There were none that I could find about Calloway Co. for the years I was
interested.
I have no idea about the other counties.
I do not remember what years it covered.
The info they have is on microfilm.
I would be interested in what others have found.
My Dad went to dear old Utterback, out side of Murray. (Yes, it's named after
Bill's kin.)
I have four generations of McKEEL, WATERS, THORNTO

Also, how long after a post like this is made can we ask you for the
information from it? Is it possible to get information from the old posts
that are listed in the archives?
Thanks!

JP Readers:
Some of you will recognize me as a BURNHAM researcher, but I have
identified another line from the JP area. My husband's HOLEMAN was also
there about 1836. Below are the siblings (children of Isaac Holeman and
Mary Williams) that I seek marriage and burial information for:
James Holeman, b abt 1761 (?) in Rowan Co., NC died abt 1836 in Calloway
Co., KY
John Holeman, b abt 1768 in Rowan Co., NC died abt 1854 in Caldwell Co.,

Hi All!
I am new to the group and I am not sure where to address my inquiries. I
am researching the Haymes family and associated families such as York's,
Starks, Paces, etc. I have a specific question. I read in the Lemon
"History of Marshall County" that Jarrett Haymes lived most of his life in
Marshall County except for 2 years in Illinois and one in Texas. Does
anyone know where he lived in Illinois?

My friends -
Well, this is the "big night" - when we awake in the morning, we will enter
a new century and millennium(even if it really does not begin until 2001).
It is an event which we will not again live to see, although there may be
some very young children and infants who will survive to see the turn of
the century into 2100, especially given the advances in medicine and the
fact that people are living longer and longer. I have no particular
thoughts about this night, other than the fact that it ofte
My friends -
We are going to close out this week's data posts with another in the Skills
Puzzler series. I try to alternate the Puzzlers with the Tips series, but I
have this "extra" Puzzler at hand, and I am going to go ahead and present
it, and then we will get caught up on the Tips series next time around.
Every genealogist, if he/she works at it for awhile, will be presented with
situations in which it really appears that an ancestor did not know what
state in which he/she was born. When the census po
