Hello, I am new to this maillist. I am looking for any information on the DAUTEL, FEIN, SHROUDER, and VONGUNDY families in the 1800s. I would appreciate anything you may come across at this time. I know that these families were in Campbell County and Jefferson County areas by 1826. 11. [KYKENTON] With Gratitude ... [1]
Hey All -- Hi! So ... a week or so ago I sent a note asking for help getting to the bottom of my great-grandfather's history. A few people responded and provided or offered help. One very kind soul went to the Kenton County Public Library and found his death certificate, a marriage record, a couple of baptismal records, and even a letter from someone else interested in the same people. (I have no idea who this is but it must be some kind of relative of mine.) I received all of this in the mail today.

16. Re: [KYKENTON] House of the Good Shepherd [1]
I think this would be the orphanage operated by the "Sisters of Our Lady of Charity of the Good Shepherd" in Highland Heights, Campbell County, KY. there were about 70 children under their care in 1881. In 1885 they expanded their mission to include "problem girls" & they also had a home/school on Highland Avenue in Ft. Thomas, Campbell County, KY. I don't remember the one in Highland Heights, but I visited the "Good Shepherd Home for Girls" in Ft. Thomas, as we called it, when I was a teenager in the ear

Jeanette I am not searching any of your surnames, but from what I've found poking around in Boone County, Ky. your CARPENTER and TANNER families could have originated there. The TANNER family was one of the founding families of the Hopeful Lutheren Church. William CARPENTER was the first pastor of the Hopeful Church. Both the TANNER and CARPENTER families came from the Hebron Lutheren Church in Virginia. There are TANNERS buried in the Hopeful Church Cemetery and there is a CARPENTER Cemetery in Flore
