2. Re: [KYKNOX] Prison Records [1]
Hi Bonnie, Sorry, I wasn't more clear. They are just going to be in the census, just like everyone else. You will find them by doing a search by soundex or if you're on ancestry.com, by name and it will give you, the page number they are on & no more infor than anyone else's. When you get to the page, you will notice that there are no "families" just page after page of mens names. (or women, if it is a woman's prison) And there may be a P.O. at the top that says "so and so" prison. But, not always. The cen
3. [KYKNOX] Paynes District [1]
Terry, I believe that the Payne's District is that of Payne's Creek located in what is now known as HWY 1304 area. I know that is where my Paynes built their home and lived, died and are buried. This would be 1304 between Old 25 (by Barbourville) and HWY 11 (near Girdler). Someone please correct me if I am wrong. Are you looking for someone or something specific there? I have been using the Kentucky death index at the following URL http://www.vitalsearch-ca.com/gen/ky/_vitals/kydeaths.htm for quite sometime and find it wonderful and reliable, however recently I am no longer able to access death information for the years 1911 - 1929. When I sent this exact same message to the help board or contact us site I got the following response back from Vital Search... 19. [KYKNOX] School Records [1]
Patti, My mother obtained her school records in the 60s when she signed up for daddy's social security. She was born in 1901. Her school records showed her born in 1900. She had gone to school in Whitley County. I would think Knox County would be much the same. I don't have the address for them or know where the school was. Maybe someone else can help you with that. You mentioned Matt Partin. My mother was a Partin. Who was your Matt's parents, grandparents? Mary Siler

24. [KYKNOX] Census Lookup Request [1]
Well this is a bit off topic (or location), but I thought I'd start here. Does anyone have access to a 1890 Bell Co. Census? I'm not even sure if the 1890 census exists... That being said, I'm most interested in tracking down my great-grandfather, John Franklin Goodin and his wife, Nancy Ellen Thompson. They were married 22 Dec 1881. By 1890 they should have had about 4 children, Daisy Dell, Sillous or Silvester, Margorie Ellen or Evelyn, and Florence Ann. Possibly his mother, Mary Jane Ingram Goodin Part
