1. [KYLAUREL-L] Re: Apology Accepted [1]
Ella, All is forgiven. Sometimes, it is hard to stay focused on typing things when they don't particularly pertain to your own line. However, I really got interested when I was reading about the Inventories, and what became of the Orphans. The silver lining is I found out people were reading them, and interested also. :) gm

10. Re: [KYLAUREL-L] Craig family [1]
Hi Ella and list members, I have John Craig Brown (1803 in VA - February 19, 1890 London, KY) who married on September 10, 1830 in Whitley Co., KY to Margaret "Maria" Craig (April 25, 1813 - May 20, 1899 Laurel Co., KY). Might that be your BROWN and CRAIG connection? I have two different sets of parents for John Craig Brown and I don't know which is correct. I know there was a George Brown associated with a John Brown in early Laurel land records. I can only imagine how many John Browns there were. Jo

Mary J. Harris, I notice that someone has given you the 1900 Jackson County record of James and Jane (Edwards) McGeorge. Did you know her maiden name? I didn't have to look it up. They are buried in the Wilson section of the cemetery on the hill in front of the only house in which I was born. It is about 100 feet down the road from the junction of Hwy 421 and the Possum Trot Road. There are no dates on the stones, just the names. Unusual. 21. [KYLAUREL-L] Middle name spelling error - Joseph Cephas Weaver [1]
This posting may be of interest only to his descendants, but (b. 1808) Joseph Weaver's middle name, Cephas, has been misspelled as CEPAHS in several postings. I believe the problem is in the LDS source, www.familysearch.org. and I wish to correct it for benefit of the descendants. I believe that Cephas is a biblical name as are virtually all the given names of the children of Samuel and Mary Bollinger Weaver. Is there a biblical scholar out there who can tell me about Cephas? Gene Hacker, Yes one of your ancestors might have hanged one of mine, but I don't think it would have been a Pigg. They seemed to be aristocrats. But then who knows, some aristocrats have been rightfully hanged. I know that one of your ancestors was a witness in a murder trial that resulted in an inlaw in my family being hanged. One result of that was that I got borned a hundtred years later, other wise, I might have been some one else. So, I owe a great debt to your family. JESS WILSON POSSUM TR
