"He was a man who occupied a great seat. He was attached to his position
very firmly. His death came as a great shock."
I agree with this, because in Harlan County, they decided to have
Christmas in August one year and used a great-great Uncle of mine to
decorate the tree!!
Patti,
I'm looking for a William Mitchell Davis d March of 1948 in Hamilton , butler
County Ohio.
William was married to a Gertrude Gray who d 1950 in Hamilton.
William & Gertrude had children James Davis, Rosie Davis, Charles Edward
Davis, Eileen Davis, William Davis.
William's father was a Francis Mitchell Davis d 1949 or 1950, probably in
Harlan County Ky.
Does any of this match your Ancestors?

Recently I visited some cemeteries and found some interesting symbols on the
tombstone. I wonder if anyone can help me with their meaning.
One looks like a 2 headed bird perched on a branch. It has a triangle in its
middle and there is a banner under it with Latin words. They are almost
impossible to read, and I even did a tracing. It looks like "Apes Mea In
Deoest"
The other one is a 5 sided star with a pentagon inside it. On the edges of
each star point are items.. One is a goblet, one looks

Been there, done that. Made a request twice to the secretary of the McKee

Thanks, Jerry. I did have that information. Charlie Owens has a good database
with a lot of Mullins info. Are you related to the family and if so, how
are you connected? John and Elizabeth were my great grandparents but John
died before my mother or any of her siblings were born.

have done it for another 20 years if God had let me.

Hi Everyone,
I'm new to this list and I'm looking for the Military Cemetery at Camp
Calvert in London, Laurel County, Kentucky. Is this a valid name, where is
it and is it on line anyplace? I'm looking for my GGGrandfather Eli
Bowlin(g) who was supposedly buried in this cemetery after he succumbed to
typhoid fever during the Civil War.
Thanks so much for any information anyone might have.

This is for all Denham family researchers: The Denham-L on Rootsweb
is going to be shut down in 14 days unless we all start participating.
These family lists are such a good tool for research, it would be a
shame to let it die because none of us are using it. The list owner has
already given us an additional three months because a few of us
requested it not be shut down. Since then, I have seen only a very few
queries. Surely there are some Denham researchers out there.
Which Johnson line are you researching?? This is mine.

Could someone please look up THOMAS MOORE for the year 1830. He would have
been 20 to 22 years old with Sarah, his wife whom he married in March and she
would have been 18. If he is found would you please share any neighbors
found. Trying to figure out who his parents are and who his siblings are.
Thanks you inadvance.

Scott,
I really would like a copy of the original census. Would be happy to simply
order it myself
if you have a source. Still looking forward to your visit AND to hearing
about the job change.

Jeanette: The Samuel Magee and Elizabeth Magee are not the same family as
James David and Telitha Cumile Peters Magee.
No proof, but I believe that Celia is the mother of James David Magee, Samuel
Magee, and Benjamin Magee.
Samuel Magee married Elizabeth Reams.
Benjamin Magee married Elizabeth Cottongim.
James David and Telitha Cumile Peters Magee are my ggg grandparents. Which
family are you needing information.
