I would like to invite all of you to the Genealogy Exchange Workshop planned
for August 10th at the Williamsburg, KY Tourism and Conference Center - 9 am
to 3 p.m..
This is a free genealogy workshop and open to anyone doing genealogical
research in southeastern KY and northeastern TN area.
We have several Historical and Genealogical societies that attend and bring
books and material to sell. Continuity Press will be there with their
wonderful selection of books on KY, TN and other subjects.

John Obie's Father was Claiborn Hansberry Gregory m. Samantha Margarette
Bell.
All of Wayne County except my mom who was born in White Oak Junction,
McCeary County, Ky
John Obie was ordained in 1911(I think) I would love to find if anyone
was married by him. I know h

The Parkins/Perkins Y DNA study has 12 participants, 8 have submitted test
kits, and 5 results are back and are on the web page at

We are waiting for test results for a descendant of Rev Peter Perkins of TN
and KY. There is a 3 step difference between a descendant of Daniel
Perkins of Kent Co., MD and Thomas and Peter Perkins of Wilkes Co., NC. The
relationship may be difficult to document. The Daniel Parkins family is
suppose
