Hi Megan, I would like to volunteer to copy the McCreary Census of either 1920 or 1930.I have never done thids before but have ran many a census rolls!! I want to thank everybody who answered my question. I was asking because I read in the McCreary County Voice online where they found 12 abandon children age 2 weeks to early teens. My Mom couldn't place where Little Rock Creek/ Jellico Creek was at. She knows where Rock Creek is because her family lived at Bell Farm and it ran at the back of the property. Hello, All; This is strictly a question out of curiosity, but would appreciate some input from other list members. I notice from time to time there are obituaries posted. Ann, My Mom said that main reason her parents move up here to Muncie was work. Muncie had a lot of factory jobs with Ball Brothers, Chevy, Warner Gear, and many other factories here back then. Kelly's younger brother has the Bible. James Childers married Mary Worley. James is Theodore's father. Mary is my grandfather's (Elzic Worley) sister. Yes, Theodore's youngest son does have the Childers family Bible. It has been handed down for several generations to the youngest son. He descends from Elias "Pete" Childers. Yes that happened yesterday, but I have not heard what happened to them, all I know is that they were from Michigan, and were abandoned by their mother. The local police picked them up and transported them to social services and saw they were fed.
