The Whitley Republican, Thursday , April 30, 1942 Williamsburg, KY Former Miner Dies At Home in Packard John Preston, 70, retired coal miner, died Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at his home at Packard. He was in the employ of the Packard Coal Company for 35 years. Survivors include a son, Pascal Preston; two nephews, Theodore Wallace and Raymond Wallace; a niece, Mabel Wallace. This was in today paper Belinda The Muncie Starpress 6/5/2003 MUNCIE - Goldman (Goldie) Waters, 80, Muncie, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 3, 2003. He was born in Stearns, Ky., the son of Henley Waters and Lillie Ledbetter Waters. He grew up in Kentucky and married Ethel Tapley Nov. 25, 1941. He worked at Stearns Coal and Lumber Co. for 11 years before moving to Muncie in 1955. He then worked for Delco Battery in Muncie for 25 years, retiring in 1980. May I ask a favor of someone with access to old obituary files? I would expect to pay in advance before the material is sent. I am looking for obituaries for my great-great-aunt Charlotte J. McClancy born March 8, 1860, died March 1, 1928 buried in Pleasant Run Cemetery next to her husband William G. Dear List Members, If you were effected by the Comcast buy out, then you need to read this, if not delete it. Just this evening, I have receive over 100 requests for me to change e-mail address to a Comcast address.
