He's talking about Isham B. Strunk & Elizabeth King's son Ambrose/Ambers. I think the cemetery book has him being buried in the Strunk Cemetery, Pine Knot, McCreary Co., KY along with his dad. Does anyone know if Elizabeth is buried their also? On his sandstone marker is carved " Ambers M Strunk was born Oct 25 1841. Dec April 1 1862. Kiled by the Rebbls in the Brimstone Battle." Local historians say that when he was killed his mother found out about it, traveled to the battle site and returned th
21. Marriage Lookup Short and Wariner [0.910522]
I'm looking for a marriage record of William Boyd Short, married to Caroline Wariner or Warren. Their only child, Charles McPherson Short. On Charles death certificate it mentions his parents names.. The closest that I can figure out that William probably got married in the late 60's but no later then 1872, because that's when Charles McPherson Short was born. I have not been able to place William Boyd Short on the 1870 census. So I want to think that he was married after 1870 but no later then 187

Tommy, Hi, What unit was Ambrose in? I was just on the Civil War web site for soldiers and sailors and I did not see him. I found a lot of other Strunks but not an Amber or Ambrose.
