absence. Before passing, she said, "I'm ready to go," and we feel that she
is peacefully resting with God in Glory.

I was told by a cousin that David Edward Nelson MEADOWS--known as "Nels"
was raised by someone named Lottie Malibies. I can't quite make out the
last name and it may be spelled incorrectly. Has anyone ever heard of
someone by that name? "Nels" was born in 1855 and was the son of Thomas
Edward MEADOWS and Anna NEAL (she died when "Nels" was a baby). Thomas
Edward married Gemima JOHNSON after Anna died.

Hi Everyone,
As I get time, I will start posting obits from The West Union Association of
Baptist Churches. I have a lot of their minute books, as my church belongs
to that association. This association has churches that are in KY & TN. I
hope that these will be of some help to someone. The earlier obits doesn't
contain that much info. Whatever I post will be ALL I have on it.
The first obits are below.

Margy,
I'm very satisfied with the job you have done on the McCreary County site!!!
Your email was the first I had heard about another site being opened. Very
strange to have two sites for the same county.

Folks...
This "lady" (and I now use this term very loosly) was NOT "reprimanded."
She has been asked VERY nicely twice lately not to send the long lists of
**FTP** links to the list anymore but rather to post a message telling the
list about them and where to go to find them. She ignored my requests. I
asked her VERY nicely again and explained why.
I have just received TWO of the number one most nasty, ugly, rude, messages
from her that I have EVER received from ANYONE in all the time that I have
been doi
Hello everyone~
About the new site being started for McCreary Co. It seems very strange to
have one that is (ours) and one that
is (the proposed new one) --- I have
never known RW to do this before - to use the same address for 2 websites
by just adding the number 2 (!) but I think I figured out what is happening.
There is someone who has requested to adopt McCreary on ALHN (American
Local History Network). I am a member of ALHN als
West, John R.-Born February 17, 1864, died February 25, 1949, at the age of
85 years and 8 days. He professed a hope in Christ about 35 years ago,
joined the Grave Hill Church, lived faithful until death. He was married to
Almeda Pennington. To this union were born 3 sons and 7 daughters. His
wife and one daughter preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing
a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, also a host of friends. We
believe our loss is his gain eternal in heaven.

I have been reprimanded for submitting the brand new uploads to the
list. I get brand new ones every day, because I subscribe to the Upload
list. I was asked by someone named Margy to quit sending them and to
just tell people where they can find the information. I have no bloody
idea where to find the information. I receive the NEW URLs and I just
relay them to people whom I think may be interested. I am in Graduate
School now and I barely have time anymore for genealogy, let alone BS
from someone--list adm

Hello McCreary Researchers~
I noticed on the Rootsweb newsletter today that someone is setting up a
website called at Rootsweb. Ours (mine) is .... Seems
rather strange that someone would have enough interest in the county to be
doing this without saying a word to the existing site or to this list. Does
anyone know anything about this or who is planning the site and why???
Just wondering if someone has been that dissatisfied with my work on the
McCreary site or if something is lacking? If
Margy gave me permission to also post the obits from Scott & Campbell Co. TN
churches that were in the minute books. Hope you can find a connection. So
I'm just going to post them as I get to them. Some are still KY churches.

I am looking for the names of the parents of Jane HOLT who married
Daniel NEAL (O'NEAL). Jane was born circa 1800 and Daniel was born circa
1798, probably in Russell County, Virginia. Jane was born in Virginia or
Tennessee. They lived in Whitley County, Kentucky. Their children
included Rachel, born 1827; Anna, born 1832; Cally, born 1834; Henry,
born 1836; Margaret, born 1839; Elizabeth, born 1841; and Thomas, born
1843. I'd also like to know anything about the descendants of Daniel
NEAL (O'NEAL) and Jane
