Hello: In the Cumberland River counties, particularly McCreary and Whitley, there are at least 4 different Perkins families: descendants of Jabez Perkins of NC and CT; descendants of Richard Perkins of MD; descendants of Rev Peter Perkins of TN; descendants of Nicholas Perkins of VA, and, probably others.
