Hello Bill, go into the Morgan County website and click on pictures and then

Hi DeNise,
This is what I have in my data base on the following. I have a Nancy Ann
Sergent being my great grandmother Mary Polly Sergent's sister as their
parents were Isaac Sergent and Amanda Moore. However, I did not have who
Nancy married. I have pictures of the tombstones in KY of Isaac and Amanda
Sergent. Mary Polly Sergent was married to James Milton Amyx.
I have two more children for James (I had Mason as middle name) Lewis and
Nancy Baker Amyx. I have Alice Allie Lewis and Henry H. Lew
Dear Bill,
I would appreciate any info you might have that I dont have. But first I should tell you that I deleted half of that tree so that it wouldnt overwhelm any on the list. I can send you the full tree also if you would like. I know that I do not have any information on Richard Minifee Oakley and would love to have info on him for my tree.
Thanks again,
Sandra Jones

They had five children:
-Mathhew M. Amyx, Jr, b. abt. 1751, d. 5/12/1832, m. Catherine Harriston
- James Melton Amyx, b. bet 1735-1740, d. bet 1815-1828
- Samuel Amyx, b. abt 1745, d. abt 1819
- Mary Amyx, m. James Smith
- Andrew Amyx, d. abt 1830
You're saying that Mathew Amyx was born in 1701

Well, I've been lurking here - so I'm gonna jump in.
I am also researching the Blankenship-Morgan lines from Morgan County, KY. They moved to Oklahoma in 1906 and settled in Tillman County. I've included the Blankenship info I have below. If anyone has info on Morgans, I'd be very interested in that data. I'll include lineage below.
Here's the Morgan lines I'm searching if anyone has info to add:
Goldie Blankenship Married Leslie Morgan 1 Feb 1914. Leslie's parents were Lewis Morgan (b. 23 Apr 1855 d.

Rebecca,
I was also able to have a Confederate tombstone placed for my ancestor using
the records I obtained from KDLA. I was not able to attend when the stone
was placed, but a representative sent me a beautiful photo of the new stone.
(I was happy to know that the original tombstone remains, as Wilson's
information was on one side and his wife's was on the other side.) If you
decide to go that route, the form can be accessed at

Hi Joanne,
Thanks for your response.
I have a few differences to your information:
1) I have Joel HAVENS (b. 1767) as having died in Cambridge, Bourbon County
(1823)
2) The Patience HAVENS that I have married to William B. SMITH (m. 1821,
Fleming Co. ) and Samuel MANNIN (m. 1827, Morgan Co.) was daughter of John
HAVENS I and Abigail UNKNOWN. Also, she was born in 1779. Your dates do
seem to be more feasible.
3) The Leah that Thomas HAVENS married was Leah DAVIS (14 Dec 1792 - 21 Feb
1865). This is an
Joanne,
I will follow up on your information. Maybe I mistakenly read my Joel as
John when I was transferring the info to computer.
I have much more on HAVENS branches if you are interested.
Take care.

You said you would send the name of the kids to Joe Armstrong, if I did not
get it sent to him. I mentioned that I do not know how to do it on the
computer without retyping it all. CAUSE, I bet you do know how to do that
without retyping.
