Hello,
My wife's maiden name was Mary Carolyn Gevedon. Her father, Telford
Gevedon was born in Morgan County to Dave Henry Gevedon and Martha Elizabeth
Gevedon. Martha's brother Jessie Gevedon married a Grace Wheeler, his
second wife. They had several children----Mabel, Betty Joe (Stamper), Arta
Ann, plus others----but I don't have dates, or have a complete list of their
children. I have no information on the Wheeler's and I am missing lots of
data on the Gevedon's. I would like very much to exchang
Do I have my sheets mixed or WHAT? I had John Leslie Peyton born 6-21-1821
died 4-12-1895, married to Mary Ann Hasty and previously to Berthena Carter
(date for this marriage 8-1-1844. For this John, I show parents as William
Daniel Peyton born 1796 and Nancy Anna Perry. Can anyone help me solve this
puzzle?

Hi Diane
Thanks for the posting of the Obits. Raye Helton Thomas was my grandmother
and I will be sending in her Obit to the Licking Valley Paper for next week.
She was 93 and a native Kentuckian and the reason I love genealogy so. Up
until last Sunday she was helping me with questions and names and pictures
and faces. I wish everyone could have known her, she was indeed a treasure.
She was buried in the Powers Cemetery in Menifee Coumty.
Regards to all

James Bo Ingram died of complications from the measles, May 13, 1887.

Thank You Marla for the offer, and the information. After looking over the information I got from the Book of Rutherfords here in our Genealogy library in Cheyenne, they say my g-greatgrandfather John Perry Peyton(16 June 1821 - 12 April 1895) was buried in the Peyton cemetery, Kellacy, Morgan Co., and I think both his wives are buried there also, but I'm just looking for Molly(Mary Ann) Hasty Peyton (1835 - 1890). If you can find them there, I would LOVE a picture. I think my greatgrandfather, Charles Wesl

Jim, just a little info to start. I show a David H Gevedon born in Morgan
(?) his father was William Green Gevedon (b1841) and Mary J. Carter (b1842).
If these dates seem reasonable Dave Henry born around 1860+) we have
somewhere to start.
Let me know,

Does anyone have the 1870 Grassy Precinct, Hazel Green, Ky Census?

I have some pictures on old postcards that I haven't figured out whom they
are and the lettering is rather poor. They were addressed from Index Ky. Is
there still an Index, KY or was there once such a post office in Morgan (or
later Counties). These are dated 1910. They were probably Gevedon or
Wheeler pictures.
Thanks.
Thank you so much Shron. I appreciate your response.
This is definately my gg grandparents and I do have the Gevedon family
Genealogy. It is the Wheelers that I have no information on and in the other
case, Elizabeth Williams.
Thanks again!
