2. [LACONCOR] Obtaining an obituary? [1]
Hi! I`d like to get a copy of the obituary of Nell Chennault. The information I have for her is that her maiden name was Thompson, she was born 11 Jan 1893 and according to the Mulhearn Cemetery in Monroe she died 23 Nov 1977. I know she has a son "Pat" Chennault who has lived in Ferriday, so I'm assuming there would have been an obit in the Ferriday or Natchez papers. I thought she died in Waterproof, but not sure, and she's buried in Monroe, so there may have been an obit in the Monroe paper. I can rei

I am not researching the Currie family but I did happen to see in a reprint of Mr. E. W. McDonald's materials on the Paul family that: Hilda Paul (b. abt. 1866) married first to Augustus Bruce who died in 1887 and second to HENRY LEONARD CURRIE. Their children, according to Mr. McDonald were: Zellie, Alice, Gedonia, Paul, and Nora. This is on page 11 of Mr. McDonald's materials. Hope this is helpful to you.

Hello Dr. Farinelli, Your post interested me because of the surname LOFTON/LOFTIN. My great grandparents, Malcolm M. CURRIE and Frances DAY HENDERSON CURRIE came from Amite County, MS to Concordia or Concordia Parish sometime after 1880. The 1880 Amite Co., MS census shows there was a niece, Vicki Loftin age 10, living in the household. Would you happen to know of a Vicki Loftin? A long shot perhaps, but it never hurts to ask! I see that you live in Tahlequah, OK. I also have Cherokee ancestors with

Since I also have Day in my ancestry, checked my copy of "Amite Co. Ms Cemeteries" and found in Jonathan Day Cemetery, page 100 an entry which is as follows: Henderson, Robert M. b Ms "11-1-1 8?/ 6-25--?" married Frances Day 4-21-1864." The cemetery Supplement contains property information for Jacob Curry on two pages. Page 23 records 231 acres in Sec. 13 with a date of 01-01-1807; the second entry also in "Sec. 13; acres 694 with same date. There is only one entry with the spelling of "Cur

In the last couple of hours I've found out that my great grandfather, Malcolm M. CURRIE, was indeed a physician. Another source notes that he lived in Concordia Parish, LA.
