***and*** permission has been given to place the material online.
In my initial excitement I couldn't decide where to begin. After a quick
look-through, I've decided to start at the beginning and just go through
scanning anything that would be pertinent to the Evangeline Parish

This is off-subject of the mailing lists, but thought ya'll might enjoy this

If this would not have happened to one of my dearest friends, I wouldn't
have believed the story.
My friend's brother, Bill, died in October while living in Florida. His new

My own lineage is Cursell "Curley" Deshon YOUNG [Lejeune]. Curley may

Edna, Bertha, Willard -- the 4th was born, Willie, 3 weeks after they
separated, 1916.
Also, I have no idea where my MC GINNIS line was from.

I am looking for obituaries to add to the archives of the Obituary Links
Page.
I'd like to invite you to visit and review the Obituary Links Page. There
are many sources for obituaries, cemetery inscriptions, mortality schedules,
death notices, as well as birth, marriage, and anniversary announcements
arranged by state and county. The URL is

Ya'll be sure to check out the on-line archives. Jim Conway of the
Evangeline Gen. Soc. has been mailing me the cemeteries from that
parish. And with my brand new flatbed scanner, I've been placing them
online.
I'm curious as to the surnames for the list. How about a roll call?
