The Winn Parish Genealogical and Historical Association will hold its meeting Saturday, May 13th.. Open to the public, the meeting will be held on the second floor of the Winn Parish Health Unit building, 301-A Main, Winnfield. The stairs are located at the rear of the building. Cookie I have met and shared with Shirley Heath. She helped me so much. This is what I know Benjamin Franklin Barfield (Bearfield) son of Miles and Mary Carter of Franklin Parish. Frank and his brother Zach were born in MS, once the family moved to Franklin Parish brothers Miles, Marion, George Washington, Nancy Lenora were born. These are the 5 Confederate brothers.
