Hi List..
My surname is no longer in the parish. I am researching COURBIERE, or
any other spelling of the surname. Here in South Texas, we have some 6
variations.
Gggg-grandfather was in the Natchitoches area in the late 1700s.
He worked with a Trading Company while in Natchitoches. Any company
roll calls, logs, church records, etc. would be greatly appreciated.
He arrived in San Antonio in 1779.
TIA
greg
My gggrandfather and his 4 brothers and a sister where orphaned in 1840 in
Louisville. They had just immigrated from Germany the year prior. Does
anyone know of an orphanage that was active at that time? On ebay I saw a
postcard that was of a German Orphanage but the date was in the 1900's. Was
that orphange active at that time? The names I am looking for are George,
John, Valentine, Andrew, William and Anna Marie BARTHEL.
I appreciate any information anyone may have.
Jeanette
