I saw Samuel Lake on www.lds.org--Family History, in Canada and on other records. It is free to look at and they have the most records of any other that I know about. Have you looked on the census records?

No, My Great-Grandfather, Johnson Lake was found on a census record, born 1799, living in Claridon, Geauga, Ohio, 1820 ,1830 census USA married Eliza Willis abt 1823. I have wondered if he came from Canada, I saw a Samuel Lake from Canada, who came to USA, but that is all I know about him.

Hi, everyone... Does anyone know more details about ALMIRA LAKE of northern NYS? She may have been born in Clinton County, and her father's name may have been Nathaniel. What I know for sure is that she was born in 1822 and that she married Joshua Van Rensselaer ARTHUR and had a number of children. We don't even have a marriaeg date or location for them! They lived out their lives in Peru, Clinton County, NY, and are buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Keeseville. I have quite a bit of data on the Arth

Hi everyone, Trying to confirm that the above people fit into my "Wright" line. Robert Wright and Margaret Lake (Leck?) married 18 Nov 1792 in Glasgow. They had a son Robert who married in Rothesay, Bute to a Margaret McKay (Mackie) and who possibly had an earlier wife. Robert was a grocer in Rothesay. My dad and his mom moved to Binghamton in 1928 (after my dad's dad died) from Susquehanna County, Pa. My dad's dad came from Warren Co, NJ to Susquehanna Co with his family in about 1855. I don't have a Clair D in my family (that I'm aware of) but there was another LAKE line that came from Connecticut and settled in Susquehanna
