Joyce--Since your Lamberts are from Georgia, ca. 1800, they almost
certainly came from either the Wilkes Co. (Group A) or the Burke Co. (Group
B) Lamberts. Both have been characterized according to their Y-DNA in the
Lambert Surname DNA
Project: http://www.chem.northwestern.edu/~lambert/dna/index.htm. This
website explains about Groups A and B and other Lambert groups. Group A
came from NC; the source of Group B is not known. It would be a simple
matter for you to find out. You need a Lambert m
My Lamberts are from Georgia, or at least as far back as I've gotten ...
My Great-Grandfather, John Thompson Lambert (10 Dec 1850 - 8 July 1915)

GA. My G-G-Grandfather was James Lambert (b: 1815) m: Mary Z. ?. I
know that there has to be other Lamberts out there that's kin to me! And
I know that they came to GA from Somewhere! Help!

Am looking for a family that might be related to Rev. James F. Lambert. He
was the Pastor of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Catasauqua, PA.
Probably around 1917. I have a book that he wrote in regard to Martin Luther's
Hymns. Some of the hymns are in German. Music with lyrics.
I would love to put this book into the hands of the right Lambert family.
Any suggestions?

I wish I was the right Lambert family - that sounds like a wonderful treasure
for the family. Unfortunately, that's not my line. Good luck in finding the
"owner".

Hi Joyce,
Joseph is right, DNA would be your best answer. For a very small investment
you could know for sure whih line you belong. It was the best investment I ever
made in genealogy.
I see your family in Clayton Co Ga in 1860 and 1870 and in Henry Co in 1840
and 1850. A part of Henry Co was used between 1850-1860 to form Clayton Co.
In 1840 they seem to be near George(1759)'s widow, Nancy, and other members
of his family.

I am researching Johannes (John) Brouwer/Brower b. 1747 NY, who married Perkins Lambert.
Here is a list of their children, these are births dates, or perhaps baptism dates:
Susanna 5-1769
John 9-1770
Robert 6-1772
Jacob 1-1774
Susanna 8-1776
Baptisms 1731-1800 Reformed Dutch Church, NY.
printed 1902, NY for NYG&BS.
Jakob Brouwer, s/o John Brouwer and Perkins Lambert.
Baptism sponsors are: Jakob Brouwer, Ellener Brouwer and her husband Garrit Kip.
Baptism Jan 13, 1774.
My note: I believe Jacob Brower m
