Hi All,
I agree Sally, it is very good to see activity on the list!
My main line in the Parish is Williams. They are centered around Oak
Ridge area, but have wandered here and there. Arrived in the area in the
1830's or thereabouts, and some still there.
These Williams have married into several other lines in that time of
course, Wright being the one I am looking into currently.

I am looking for any information on HK/HAZIE KYE (?) MARSHALL who married ELIZABETH "LIZZIE" EMMERSON on January 30, 1876. HK died in 1886 in a logging accident. A chain broke killing him. I am not sure if he died in Morehouse Parish or Union. Would there be a newspaper around that time that may have printed something on the accident?
Elizabeth "Lizzie" remarried in 1890. She married ROBERT WC TURNAGE. Do any of these names ring a bell? Thank you in advance for any help!

Prudent B. Cambre, a native of Reserve, LA in St. John Parish, has been researching the Cambre family for many years. Michel Cambre and Mathias Cambre, natives of Germany, settled in St John Parish in the mid-1750s. Prudent is planning on publishing a book on the Cambre family early next year and realizes that there is much information he doesn't have because of the fact that the family has spread far
