Gottlieb Walker arrived in New Orleans (from Germany) in 1847. 1850 Census of Rapides Parish has him listed in the Household of Jacob Walker. 1860 Census has these two Walker Families: Gottlieb 33, Ann 30 Julia 5, Alphonse 3, Mary 2 and this one: Jacob 44, Angelina 44, Jacob 7 Mary 5 ,Catherine REXER 14, William REXER 12, Caroline REXER 11, Ann SMITH 90, William HUSTMIRE 9 Gotlieb filed a civil suit in Rapides Parish but died befoe it was completed. In 1875 "...Jake Walker, he was a brother of Gottlieb.
