Pennsylvania to the west in the early 1800s. One was Braddock's Road which
became the National Road, later US 40, that went through Maryland and
Virginia (now WV) and Forbe's Road that years later became the Lincoln

Morgantown which made river travel possible.

Looking for information for Julia (Latta) Poole born 1817/1818 in Pennsylvania, possibly Huntington County. Her family moved to West Virginia for a few years around 1830 then moved on to Monroe County, Ohio. Died in1894. She married Joseph Pool or Poole around 1850 and may have moved on to Noble or Guernsey Counties in her later years. Hi, Betty, I can't claim to be an historian, but I can suggest several
avenues:
1) Does the Miltonburgh, Ohio newspaper still exit? If so, you might
contact them.
2) Most libraries have Gayles directory of newspapers on microfilm. If
that newspaper is on microfilm, you could get it through interlibrary loan
and look at the papers around that time.
reading old newspapers is fun!

I have that Sarah L. or Sary L. Morris b 1847 dau of Henry Gusler and Mary Kinkade Morris, married Elijah Somers. The only thing I can base that on is that we have several quit claim deeds from the children of Henry G. Morris's property including this one to "John C.
