Hi, I recently queried this list about a John E. HAY. I don't know much
about him, but if I find he relates to the Thomas HAY in your message, I'd
love to see the photo. Thanks.

Port Union was located on the Ouachita River in southeastern Union Parish,
several miles southwest of present-day Sterlington, just south of the Basin
of Bayou de Loutre where the Loutre empties into the Ouachita River. On a
detailed Union Parish map, if you will follow the river south from
Sterlington, the river makes a "pimple" towards the northwest, just before
the river ceases to be the eastern boundary of Union Parish. Port Union is
located right at that point - the southern base of the "pimple" right

I borrowed a picture from Ms. Judy Sawyer of Dallas, Tx this past weekend. On the back of the picture it says home of Thomas Hay, Port Union, LA. Dr. Pardue and Hillary Crawford Hamm preparing for deer hunt. The people in the picture are hard to see because the picture was taken from a distance. I am planning on sending this into the website. If anyone out there would like a scanned copy of this picture, please let me know and I will send it to you.

These birth certificates appear to
I'm looking for info on Selester B. PEARCE PATTERSON (born 1878 in Bienville or Red River Parish, LA) who possibly married Unknown HAY in the early 1900s. Selester's family lived in Red River Parish in 1880 and Desoto Parish in 1900. Her first marriage was to Rufus B. PATTERSON in 1901 in Desoto Parish. He died before 1905. I believe Selester married a second time because an S. B. HAY was mentioned in an estate record of a member of her mother's family.
I have possibly found the second marriage and family
