My Lawrence family appears to have used the spelling LARRANCE from about 1750 to
1850 at least. One branch continues with that spelling to this day, although
cousins pronounce it at least
Yvonne,
Would you please send me your information on Levi Lawrence b. about
1800. I seem to have
misplaced the page with most of the information on it. Oh, did you ever
get the chance
to finish reading the "Descendents of Nicholas Cobb". I'm trying to get
a copy in my local
library.
Thanks,

Well said Judy! You and I have had correspondence regarding all the mix ups
on the various LAWRENCE lines. Everyone should beware and check everything
twice. I have been researching the family of Colonel Richard Lawrence for a
long time now, I am creeping forward and have actually located his baptism
in Hackensack and his father was indeed John LAWRENCE and his Mother Anna
EDSALL. Still do not know where John LAWRENCE came from though, it is said
to be "Long Island" but I have not found him or his death
Here is another spelling of LAWRENCE for you:
on my great grandmother Lawrence's marriage records it is spelled LARRANCE.
Good luck.

Hello Lister's,
I have a gr grandmother born in Craighead County, AR. circa 1897 as
Lena LAWRENCE. She married Ezra Mack HEARD about 1914 same county.
I know of three children born to them: Vaudine, Duward, and David.
If anyone has any info, or needs additional info, please e-mail me at:
jcsdds7@aol.com
Thanks in advance. David.
Yes, we found him, and got so excited, but so far can make no connection. On
the Lawrence One Name Study page there is a family - Daniell LAWRENCE and
children from Killingly, Windham county. They look promising, but no Henry. If
he was born around 1770-1779 he might be one of the next generation. I think
Tolland county was taken from Windham?
There are no LAWRENCEs in census records after 1790 (in Tolland cty), so we
really think he's our Henry who moved with his children, Benjamin, Jonathan and

This sounds very promising, could be a sibling of our Henry's father or
grandfather. What were your Jonathan's childrens' names, if you know? How did
you get his birthplace?

Hi,
I am hoping that someone on this list has run across this George Lawrence.
He was born in PA about 1869. Sometime around 1869 he was married to
Lillian/Lillie Rittenhouse. I have found them and their 7 children in the
1900 census (Lancaster). I am seeking names of his parents/siblings; where
in PA he was born; where and when he died.
Many thanks for any clues or help you might be able to give.
