I don't think that the church does any extraction projects for submitting
names to the temple that concerns individuals who were born in the past 110
years.

Alll I can tell you about a Beta-test center is that we were able to be
one so that whenever any new products come from the Family History
Dept., such as new CD's (now these are Ordinance Index CD's of 1997-1999
Addendum) WE received them late last year 1999, and no other word about
any other new releases of CD's. For example, ANcestral File. This was
done by our Computer Specialist who is in charge of making sure all our
computers are functioning properly. I'm not sure what his connection to

Hi all,
I've just joined the list so I guess I should offer an introduction.
My name is Leonie and I'm the Branch Family History Consultant for the
Melaka Branch (about 7 active members and a few extras), Malaysia.

I've been doing family history since high school I guess, maybe 20 years on

about six years. All of my ancestors are from Rep. of Ireland and England.
I've been doing a lot more family history work
Thanks everyone for your suggestions re: my need for the catalogue number.
I'm sorry, I guess I should have explained that I have tried to download
twice and each time during it, I loose the internet connection. Maybe the
lines are not quite as good as over there. This does happen frequently here
with the electricity.
This is why I decided to just order it direct. However, as it's not in the
catalogue, it must have presented a problem for the ordering office.
Perhaps, no one has ordered it from over her

Dear Brother and Sisters:
Diacritical marks are sometimes a great problem in entering data.
In PAF 3.0, using the F 7 key will give you choices for these marks. In the
various iterations of PAF 4.0,
you must use the Word Diacritical marks.
Below are listed the various options - enjoy :-)

The Orange County, California County Fair is from July 14th thru July 30th.
At the fair there is a Family History Booth that is being manned by

The Stakes have provided 4 computers, CDs, and even an Internet connection.
If you have people in Orange County who are going to the fair

The information I quoted came from the Instructions For Priesthood and

It is an update to the Church Handbook of Instructions printed in 1998.
I received the 4 pages of the instructions from Brother Ebbert who is

of this year. You can get anyone more knowledgeable then that. The

Hi everyone,
I've tried to order PAF 4.0. The ordering person in the next country has
just contacted the couple at the church (yes, they live there) to ask for
the catalogue number for PAF 4.0. As I discover, it's not in the catalogue.
There really is a PAF 4.0 isn't there or did I just muddle this all up?
Would someone happen to know the number?
Thank you so much,

Dear Sister Regine and Listers;
There are two rules at work here. First is, no one (living or deceased) may
have endowment work before one year has passed from their baptism date (with
a very few exceptions as clearly stated in the General Handbook). However,
anyone may go to the temple for baptisms for the dead as soon as they are
baptized and found worthy and have an understanding of

I just met with a newly baptized member to get him started on his family
history work.
He's in his early 20s.
As we discussed the possibility for him to go to the temple soon, it became
obvious that it would be much better for him to accompany people of his own
age to the temple. We have several youths in that age group who have not
received their endowments and so we hope they can get together and plan a
separate trip when they can prepare the names for us to get the rest of the
work done later.
