3. [LOVELOCK] A Lieflock Line update blitz! [1]
Hello all Herewith a positively monster update to the Lieflock Line, which has been building for a little while. Several of these additions are to the families of Lovelock ladies who married, and are thus, in accordance with our established practice, the ends of those particular twigs. There are, however, several new Lovelocks of whose existence we may have been aware through Free BMD for example, but perhaps we were unsure where they fitted. Some of the information has been provided by Robin
4. [LOVELOCK] A further Wallingford Line update [1]
Apologies, everyone, for another update so soon, but I forgot to turn over the last page of my notes and therefore missed the following, which have now been incorporated: 1. Added a wife Eliza Jane Freshwater (I1072) to William Lovelock (I821) with details of her birth and their marriage. 2. Added children William Henry, Frederick George, Ernest Thomas and Eliza Gertrude (I1073 - I1076) to William and Eliza Jane. 3. Added a wife Louise E Reeve (I1077) to Frederick George with details of thei
5. Re: [LOVELOCK] A small change to the Portsmouth tree [1]
A few observations: I wonder how Julia, with two young daughters, Julia and Alexandra, presumably in tow, came to be married in London? Not that she was there much longer since by April 1871, as Peter Bennett has probably discovered, she and Mr 'Leary' were in Bathwick in Somerset sans filles. And what of the daughters? Well, it seems that they had been sent to boarding school, as we have a record of them in Lewisham Park School in 1871, but curiously their birthplace is very clearly given as Ne

When you say seaman, do you mean a sailor in HM Forces or a member of the merchant marine? Do the sources mentioned cover all deaths at sea (and ashore) or just in a particular service? 7. [LOVELOCK] Hungerford Wesleyan Methodist Circuit [1]
Hello all A copy of 'Volume One - Baptisms 1810 to 1880' for the Hungerford Wesleyan Methodist Circuit has come into my possession. There are, alas, no Lovelocks or Lovelucks in the transcribed records, but there are plenty of other names. If anyone would like me to search for a particular entry please let me know. A considerable part of East Wiltshire is included in the Circuit. Regards Graham _________________________________________________________________ Beyond Hotmail see what e

9. [LOVELOCK] Amendment to the Tangley, Hants, Tree [1]
Hello again everyone As promised in my earlier message about the Dowdeswell Tree I have now amended the Tangley Tree gedcom on PhpGedView as follows: 1. Added birth details for Ada Stringle (I916) the wife of Henry William Lovelock (I99). 2. Added children Adelaide Helena, Ivy Lilian, Henry William, Charles Frederick, Nellie and Doris (I3758 - I3763) to the family of Henry William and Ada. GRO references and a couple of Census entries have also been added. The gedcom can be a
10. Re: [LOVELOCK] A Lieflock Line update blitz! [1]
Hello all I'm afraid I was a little over-eager with my message about the Lieflock update, and hadn't properly checked my 'ToDo' folders. June Dunster has been kind enough to provide visibility of the certificates for the second marriage of Martha Yeates and for her death. If you are not familiar with Martha's tragic tale, she first married David Lovelock in 1839. David died in Marlborough Bridewell or Gaol ten years later. They had seven children altogether, but the second, John, died in Pew
11. [LOVELOCK] Additions to the Wroughton - Tidcombe tree [1]
Hello all, I've made some additions to the Wroughton - Tidcombe tree (part of the 'Wilts trees2' database) on the PhpGedView site: http://james.loveluck.free.fr/PGV/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=wilts-trees2.ged The changes concern the family of Frederick George LOVELOCK (I1969) http://james.loveluck.free.fr/PGV/individual.php?pid=I1969&ged=wilts-trees2.ged and were provided by Malcolm Brooks, as follows: * Entered the precise date of birth for Rose Susan CAKEBREAD, mother of Frederick George LOVELOCK.

Massively well done Graham. Logging all the changes is no small task, never mind making them. I enjoyed playing a very small part along the way. And congratulations on the new grand daughter at number 127! Great stuff. 13. [LOVELOCK] A small change to the Portsmouth tree [1]
Hello all, I've made a small change to the Portsmouth tree on the PhpGedView site: http://james.loveluck.free.fr/PGV/index.php?ctype=gedcom&ged=portsmouth.ged following information provided by Peter Bennett, concerning Julia HORNSEY, whose first marriage was to George LOVELOCK (I119): * Entered details of the second marriage of Julia HORNSEY (I120) to Henry Evans O'LEARY (I151) * Entered details of the death of Julia HORNSEY in 1884 Many thanks to Peter for providing this information, which is
14. [LOVELOCK] The Dowdeswell (Glos) Tree [1]
Hello all No sooner does this tree appear than Shelagh Lovelock alerts me to an error in its compilation. We had I482 as Adelaide Helena Lovelock, born in the Islington RD in 1904, but Adelaide is actually a part of the Tangley, Hants, tree. I had confused her with Helena May Lovelock born in the Camberwell RD in 1905 - not an easy mistake to make, but I managed it! Her husband (I483) has obviously changed his identity as well, and the three children of the family that had been indicated have be
15. [LOVELOCK] Census records for Derbyshire [1]
Hello all, Even though the 'Census Project' was deemed to be complete in March this year, Graham Lovelock continues to scour the archives for more Lovelock records, and has now extracted those for Derbyshire. There were no Lovelocks in the county for the years 1841 - 1871, so the files cover the years 1881, 1891 and 1901. The files are linked to a new web page for Derbyshire Lovelock records: http://perso.numericable.fr/~lovjames/family-history/lovelock/derbyshire-records.html Many thanks to Graham
