Hello to the list,
I have found in the Maryland Calendar of Wills Vol III p. 33--listing for
John Lyon of Dorchester Co. 1/11/1702 1/5/1703
which lists sons John, James and Peter
with wife Mary
I am trying to find out if one of the sons, probably Peter, is the father of
Elisha Lyon, born MD, died 1758 in Franklin Co. VA.
Does anyone have the family information for this John Lyon.
Your help is most appreciated.
Thank you,
Ann

Looking for info on yet another Rev JOHN LYONS Buffalo, NY
I am seeking information on the family and ancestry of John LYONS who died
testate in Dearborn County, Indiana sometime between Feb. and March
1830. In his will, John LYONS mentions his wife Susan, their four minor
daughters Maria, Ester, Matilda, and Zelah, as well as Susan's son Cyrus
BALL. James LYONS was named the executor and apparently also was appointed
the guardian of the four girls. The two witnesses were Isaiah BISBEE and
Thomas COLVIN. All four daughters were born between 1810 and 1820,

Hi,
I'm new to this list and looking for any information on Nancy J. LYONS.
Nancy was born circa 1855 in Indiana. The 1880 Newton Co., IN census
says her father was born in Ohio, and her mother in Indiana. Nancy
married Schuyler JONES circa 1875 in Indiana.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Lisa,
I don't recognize any of your Lyons/Bernard names. I first find my earliest ancestor in Franklin
County, PA around 1800 and his hame was Benjamin Lyons. After that he moved to the area of Blair
and Bedford County, PA. None of Benjamin's children are named Lucy. I do know that Benjamin was a
either mulatto or black and was a runaway slave. I am assuming his father was white but I don't
know that for sure. Benjamin married a white woman and so did his son, James H. Lyons. All of the
descendants
I'm looking for information on any Lyons families that may have originated in the Bedford County
area of Pennsylvania from early 1800's on. Especially those living around New Enterprise,
Salemville, Woodbury Township, Altoona, Roaring Springs, Lewistown areas.
Thanks,
Rose Mary Graveline
