Hi Everyone, The family below includes two HERENDEEN/CHILSON marriages. Does anyone know anything about Aaron HERENDEEN? I'd like to know when and where he was born and who his parents were. More important... Where did he go. He was in Smithfield, RI, for the births of the five children listed and in Douglas, MA, for two of their marriages. What happened to him after that? All children with exception of last one - Noah , birth dates are from East Greenwich MM. East Greenwich MM says all children born at Mendon except Jacob and Samuel at Uxbridge. Thomas Smith, Jr. son of Thomas and Phebe (Arnold) (figured out he was their son because no other Thomas matched the husband of Abigail Aldrich) and Abigail Aldrich (daughter of Moses Aldrich, the Quaker Preacher and Hannah White) married 6 Apr 1732 Mendon, Worcester Co., MA and further verified by Smithfield MM (Quaker) records. The dates and your clue n Nova Scotia leads me to believe your Sweet family were LOYALIST.. Their is a Nehemiah SWEET.from Providence , R.I. and a Beniamin.. from Newport County R.I.that emigrated to NS. 1760. All the Loyalist records are in the "Province Library at Halifax. NS".
