Looking for an obituary for Exilia (Carrier) Gregoire, wife of Joseph Hormidas Gregoire of Lowell, MA. Do not have exact date of death. But cemetery records show she was buried on 27 Oct 1967 at St Joseph cemetery in Chelmsford, MA. Lauri Piispanen. He was born in Kivijarvi Finland Aug 14 1850ish, emigrated to the USA in 1893, settled in Quincy Ma, worked in some capacity in the Quarry Industry. and died I assume in Quincy or surrounding town(Braintree, Weymouth etc) Jan 15, 1930. Juho Rikkard Piispanen (Lauri son)born in Kivijarvi Finland emigrated in 1899, and died on or about September 14, 1969, again probably in Quincy or surrounding area. Dear List I wondered if anyone would be able to suggest how I could find deaths and or obits for the above people. The last I have them is in 1920 on the census for Boston with their 10month old daughter Muriel. I am in the UK and therefore am only to search limited records that appear online. In 1920 he was 36 and she was 26 so it is likely that they both lived many years beyond that census. Any thoughts or ideas would be very welcome! Cheers Emma

HI Cathy. Thank you very much for your help. This is him. He was a veteran of WWI with the Canadian Army. I wonder why he was drafted in WWII? He seemed to be a bit old. I guess they needed men for all kinds of jobs in the service. I'll have to go to a Plymouth Co. site now. Thanks agian it's a great help. I can find the address if you need it, it lusts soldiers who fought with Canada ( regardless of nationality) and often has online copies of their army records that are free to view.
