has also added our MacThomas clan ( all variations ) to her main
website. I have her linked below thru my own hometown website, once
there just under` Scotch Irish `links. All MacThomas names became
standardized to McComb as they came thru N Ireland 1600's and later,
mainly thru the Ulster Plantation System. For those of us MacThomas

To add to the conversation on the McComb list, Ironically this also
just happens to be coming across the Scotch Irish list, this is in the
right area as well, its pasted below.
Also, A few years ago I found some pictures of the Tinkling Spring
McComb families, at least one of them. The LDS FHC has a couple McComb
families in the Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church, mid 1700's.

This is really cool info! My wife's Rankin and Doak ancestors lived in Augusta Co., VA and I believe they were part of the Tinkling Springs Presbyterian Church as well. I am still working on my Thomas line. They are still in Bedford Co., VA prior to the Rev. War. I have my Ward line traced back to England. They arrived in the VA colony in 1619 and started a plantation along the James River! I've also got my Huddleston line back to England. They arrived in Phil., PA in the mid- to late 16
