Hi - my ggg-grandfather was Solomon Dewey of Greenfield, who married
Mercy Robbins, daughter of Nathan and Huldah Robbins of (I think)
Deerfield, in 1810. Could someone with the Dewey book tell me who were
his parents? Thank you!

My first known American Wallace, James Wallis, (ca. 1696-1747) got married
to Mary Snow in 1730 (probably in Leicester or Sudbury).... Mary Snow
Wallace died in 1769".. at the age of 70" and is buried in Chandler
Cemetary, Colrain, Franklin Co., MA, along with her son, James, Jr. and his
wife. She lived her later years, with her son and his family, in Franklin
County, very close to the MA/VT border ..... I would love to learn about my
grandma Mary Snow Wallis/Wallace.
Any leads will be grea

Whether your link to Reuben Leonard Wallace is by blood or marriage, you'll
probably be interested in his family tree, which has been well documented in
our family, for several decades, except where noted below. If you can help
us firm up some of the "fuzzy" facts, please let me know ....

Does anyone have access to Residential directories of Deerfield, MA?
I have been researching my ZSCHAU (SCHAU, SHAW) and GRIESBACH (GREISBACK)
families from Franklin county for the past year mostly in Montague and
Greenfield.
However, when Gottlieb Zschau first arrived in the states he lived in
Deerfield, MA. I am hoping to find some record of his residence in
Deerfield and could use some help. He immigrated about July 1869 so I am
looking for anything in Deerfield from there up until 1880 where he is f
Interested in folks researching the Taggarts from Colrain. Reverend Samuel
Taggart, was born in Londonderry, NH in 1754 and became minister of Colrain
about 1777, after graduating from Dartmouth. Our family has in our
possession the original pamphlet from his ordination to become minister in
Colrain as he is my gr, gr, gr, gr grandfather. Samuel was a congressman
from 1803 to 1817 and I have meticulously copied several of his sermons and
speeches from the Antiquarian Society which are fascinating.
Would appreciate any information on Cyrus Phinney, b. about 1770 in New
Salem, then Hampshire County. He was son of Noah and Betsy (Conant)
Phinney/Pheney.
I found Cyrus in 1810 Census in Erving, MA., also 1820, 1830. He was married
about 1805 to Ruby Whitcomb/Briggs, I believe. They had a daughter Laura
about 1806 who m. George Hancock, a shoemaker, who lived in Milford. She
died 1836. George then married Parna Phinney - sister, we think, of Laura.
There was also another sister, Phoebe who marri
