I am trying to determine the ancestry of a Roswell (Rosel) KNOWLTON of

One inconsistency I would like to understand concerns Roswell's gravestone,
which is located at Dwight Cemetery. That stone says,

Does SKS have access to the Norwich, Hampshire, MA vital records? I
am looking to verify that a marriage took place between Emerson James

Hello list,
Until last Monday evening all I knew was my 3rd
great-grandmother Clarissa D (for Davis) KEENEY was
probably born in Massachusetts on 16 October 1801. I
was then contacted by Cliff McCarthy who actually
lives in a house in Belchertown built by a Davis! He
is not a descendant either, just interested in the
history of his house. He saw on a genealogy site my
listing of a Clarissa possibly Davis and matched what
he had found with mine. He had older siblings that
matched exactly what I had found

There were corn broom factories in both Northampton and Hadley up till
about 1943 or so. The buildings actually were more like barns where people
performed this art. Don't know about Lowell which is about 60 miles from
these 2 cities. Hope that helps.

Are you related to Seth Warner in NC and interested in Goulds?
Two excellent maps for Massachusetts are their "cities and towns map" and
their "counties" map. They are found by starting at www.state.ma.us/sec/cis
and following the menu for maps and then download these two maps.
Amherst is in Hampshire Co.
