Hi Olive,
I have a very old book caled "A History of the town of Murrayfield"
1760-1783 written by Alfred Copeland in 1892. It lists a marriage for Tabor
Pelton of Middlefield and Anna Moore, March 7, 1790. Murrayfield was earlier
known as Township No.9, and comprises the present towns of Chester and
Huntington, the northern part of Montgomery, and the southeast corner of
Middlefield. Let me know if there are other names you would like me to look
up in this book. Sandy

Good morning list,
Before I spend money searching the probate records, I
want to try to make sure I am in the correct area.
My ancestor Shem Burbank died 31 Jan 1800 while living
in Granville, MA. I have been informed that in 1800,
Granville was of Hampshire County. Does anyone visit
the probate office in North Hampton and if so, would
you mind doing a look-up for me? I am interested in
the probate records and the guardianship records of his
daughter Ann Burbank who was aged 18 at the time of his
death.

There is a monument in memory of this raid standing in Easthampton today:
"On May 14, 1704, the village of Pascommuck was attacked by a group of Native Americans allied with the Quebec colony of France. This boulder stands on the site of the home of Moses Hutchinson. Other settlers included the families of Benoni Janes (Jones), John Searle Jr., Samuel Janes, and Benjamin Janes. Of the 33 inhabitants of

This is fabulous. I live in Georgia and I am having a terrible time
tracing my family in this area, especially since most of them are from the
towns and villages under the Quabbin. All I have to go on is what my
greatuncle has written down from before the 1930's. I was actually at the
Quabbin Resevoir office one afternoon but the lady in charge was not much
help. Thanks so much for doing this. Gwenda Gustafson Malnati
