Hi Olive, I have a very old book caled "A History of the town of Murrayfield" 1760-1783 written by Alfred Copeland in 1892. It lists a marriage for Tabor Pelton of Middlefield and Anna Moore, March 7, 1790. Murrayfield was earlier known as Township No.9, and comprises the present towns of Chester and Huntington, the northern part of Montgomery, and the southeast corner of Middlefield. Hi Sherrie, That sounds like a wonderful book! I have at least 12 of those names as direct ancestors: Thomas Alvord, Benjamin Bartlett, Robert Bartlett, William Clark, William Holton, John Hubbard (Hulbert), John King, Eltweed Pomeroy, Rowland Stebbins, John Strong, John Webb and Henry Woodward. I just need to verify that John Hulbert is the same as my John Hubbard. Mine was born about 1665 and married Mary Unknown. Had a daughter Hannah born about 1690 who married 1711 Francis Smith. Good morning list, Before I spend money searching the probate records, I want to try to make sure I am in the correct area. My ancestor Shem Burbank died 31 Jan 1800 while living in Granville, MA. I have been informed that in 1800, Granville was of Hampshire County. Does anyone visit the probate office in North Hampton and if so, would you mind doing a look-up for me? I am interested in the probate records and the guardianship records of his daughter Ann Burbank who was aged 18 at the time of his death.
