My great grandfather was Francis Young. He was also known as Francis Dion.
He apparently worked for the Williams Company (a basket making company?) at
the foot of Smith St., in Northampton. He was born in Hatfield, MA in 1846,
and died in Northampton in 1920. Francis had a large family and was married
twice. One of his children was Eugene Young also known as Eugene Dion. The
Young/Dion family lived on Hawley Street in Northampton for awhile but I
don't know the dates.. Eugene's mother was Amanda Gauthier.
Dear Shelley,
Thank you for this information. It is great!

Dear Folks,
My inquiry concerns Keron Hickey (a male) who was born in Ireland. Keron moved to Northampton MA and over his lifetime, he apparently used many variations of the spelling of his first name. Among them were Theron, Kiran, Kieran, Kerwin, Keran etc. Since these names all sound sort of similar, perhaps someone else was doing the writing for him.
My investigation of Keron began long before I owned a computer. It didn't take very long for me to get to a dead end. I will appreciate any help

Hello to all,
I am new to the list and hopefully someone out there may be able to help
me trace my ancestors to the New England area of the U.S.
The family that I am trying to trace is the Boyle family of Gaspi,
Quebec, Canada.
The first Boyle to arrive in Gaspi was James who arrived in 1789,
supposedly from the Boston area of Massachusetts.
He came to Gaspi with his wife Mary and children John, George, Jane,
Mary, and James.
The family may have been United Empire Loyalists but I have found no
