Baumzuchter is right...And I'm looking for any Archibalds in the Cemetery. The Forest Hill Cemetery is located in what is now East Derry, but pre-1827, it was called Londonderry. Prior to it being called Londonderry, it was called Nutfield. Thanks for the emails. If anyone has any leads as to Archibald's in whatever town it is, please email. The portrait was of a sea captain named James Fairfield of Kennebunk, Maine and its mysterious history is linked with that of Captain Daniel Nason (whom Kenneth Roberts immortalized in his novel The Lively Lady.) It makes a fascinating tale. _h

Remember that people usually DELETE messages without subject lines, sp*m filters often don't allow them through, and the Archives sort by them so they will be harder to find if blank.
