Hello,
Just a comment that Herbert St. is a small street off of Myrtle St. And,
since they are both in the center of the city (near City Hall), there very
well could be a Catholic Church on or near Myrtle St. Or, on nearby Main
St. (My map does not show churches.)
Oh.. just Googled and found a reference to St. Mary's Church at 4 Myrtle
St.

Ms. Farnsworth transcribed a record on Timothy Bolton as follows: IV. Timothy Bolton b. 1759; m. Sybil Bennett of Shirley, Mass. May 14,

The births of nine children were entered upon the records of Shirley, Mass.

Hello,
I was at a family-gathering last weekend and was reminded that some of my
KERR ancestors are buried at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett. One of my
sisters has visited the cemetery and might have a few pictures. But, she
didn't request the information from the cemetery records.
I am trying to find out if one of Robert and Elizabeth (HENDERSON) KERR's
sons was buried with them. The brothers, Robert and Joseph, had come down
from Canada with their parents in 1880's, had married here in
That is more likely because the touwns held all records till 1800's or
later.
The recorded by the town. Like the old census was maps with the family
names and the streets showed the families.

Isn't it part of their jobs to let the descendants of the deceased know who
is buried there??? And I thought the Catholic cemeteries were pricey at
$35!!!

Jack, Footnote has no matches for Umberto Giannelli (I tried four
spellings), so that was disappointing. (It is free to search, by the
way. If you find something, you can ask me to look up the image for
you.)
I looked up Giannelli (4 spellings) in the MA Vitals to 1910 to see if
there might be other siblings, but none of these (where the image was
available) match the names you give below:

They were filmed or digitized the same thing more or less, so they
should look pretty much the same. I do know the pages missing from
the front and back of volumes were mostly missing before the FHL
filming, which took place in the 1970s. I wonder if those images
missing were one of the reasons the archives made the records
available to the FHL for filming.
Images missing in the middle of the volume are a different matter.
Some may be missing from the FHL microfilm, but a lot of them are by

Hello,
I haven't mentioned the KIDDER - SPARHAWK connection in 1600's in a long
time, so I thought I would offer a paragraph from the "KIDDER book" as an
FYI for researchers. See below.
I believe the land was in the general area of the current MBTA's "Alewife
Station" and in the general area of the Cambridge / Arlington line on Rt. 2.

I have a question. A few days ago I copied off two pages of my family history. I can not find the book again. (First mistake.. I failed to copy the website..not smart!!!!)..
But the title at the top of the page is: BOSTON AND EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS... The particular pages I copied are: Page 979 and Page 980.
Can anyone tell me where to find this book and especially where the book is located that has pages that can be copied?
Thanks!
Ellie Swanger
Hi Phyllis,
I went to www.mass.gov yesterday? and read that it was just .people /
employees who moved to the new building in Woburn.
For people in the area, there was a new building built on the side of Rt.
128 (Rt. 95) in Woburn very near the Rt. 38 exit. It is called the "Trade
Center." That is where the employees of "Superior Court" moved to, and
several new Courtrooms, etc., are now available.
(And an MBTA bus will now stop there. I don't know whether it is the Rt.
38 bus, or the Wi
Hi Phyllis,
James O. Richardson is the person of interest. That has something to do
with his rank, according the info from the cemetery office. He passed away
10 March 1966.
The info was given to a friend of mine who was trying to get lot number,
etc. for me in Edson Cemetery. They wrote to her saying:
