Hi, Betty. I made a trip to Nantucket this past fall. I would take
this time to tell others on this list that the library in Nantucket has
wonderful things on-line. I was not aware of that before I spent a day
in the library just before I left. I am working on Colonial Dames
papers to connect me with at least one of my Nantucket ancestors. I
believe that I descend from "Great Mary" Coffin....but have not done the

I'd like to repost my interest in learning about the extended family of
George E. COFFIN, b~1842 MA, and his wife, Esther CORKILL, b~1865 ENG.
From census information, I believe they may have had 10 children born to
them, but only 2 or 3 lived to adulthood ! The only one I know about so
far is:
Mary E. COFFIN, b~1885, who married Oscar F. WILLIAMS on Nantucket in 1905.
In the 1910 census, they had children: Harold WILLIAMS, 3, Florence
WILLIAMS, 2, and Chester WILLIAMS, 4 mos.
