1. [MARTIN-L] Mystery solved [1]
Hi all I wrote a coulpe times looking for a John Martin married to Magdelena Frei both born in Switzerland and settled in Wis. Well I found why I couldn't find any info on him, because his name isn't John Martin. My mom was looking at cenus records found my ancestors in the 1860 cenus for Raymond twp. Wis. and found his name to actually be John M. Smith or Schmid. So we are thinking that the M. stands for Martin. The cenus record shows that at the time five children were living at the home, one of wh

Robert, Ira, Isaac Scott and Christopher Columbus. My line is from
Christopher, his son Benjamin Franklin "Frank" and Finis Edward. Anyone out

Hi, The New York Martins are a different line of the Martin clan, They mostly went south to Virginia and points beyond. Where my Martins went west through Pennsylvania to Ohio and points beyond. I have always thought that these two lines may be related a few generations back, most likely in England, then some went to Ireland and then to New York while others went to New Jersey. I have not found any proof, but still looking. I followed the New York line back to England where they were part of the Royal

Jack, I would be quite interested in seeing what this lineage entailed. I believe this is the same lineage that Doris was speaking about that I originally noted. Alice, I would like to help you. I need more information. If you want a look up in Texas in 1900 than the son's would be approximately 25- 30. They are probably married and have their own families. Any furthor information. Do you have any idea middle names or county' s in Texas that they resided. Martin is a fairly common name. Any extra information will give me a clue where to look. If you can break it down to: 1870 ----- County, State 1880 ----- County, State 1900 ----- County, State It als
