I don't know whether "Oren" is short for Orasmus but I would always be alert
for the initial letter to be changed to an "E", making it Erasmus.

Hi,
Has anyone had experience requesting baptism/marriage records from the
Diocese of Worcester? Have the parishes provided the diocese with copies of
the records they hold? I'm under the impression they were supposed to have
done that.
Thanks,
Barbara
Yes indeed. Leominster starts at image 41 and goes through to image 160 under
the second section for the town of Grafton on the Ancestry.com 1880 census
for MA Worcester County. I would notify Ancestry but I can't even get the
feedback form to pop up today. When I click "Contact Us" they sent me
straight to their FAQ site.
Jack, the state of Massachusetts conducted a population census in 1855 and
1865, and don't forget the Mortality, Agricultural and Manufacturing
censuses. I don't have those dates at my fingertips, but can probably search
them out. Joan Hunter

Hello All,
I'm at a dead end with this line as well and I'm wondering if anyone can
help me.
I'm looking for the family of Mary PELKEY/PELKY also found spelled PELKIE
sometimes. She born between 1840-1856 in Brandon, VT. Tentative
information suggests she died in 1918 though I don't know where.
Her family was originally from Canada, they are supposedly of
French/Canadian and Native descent. The original surname was probably

There are two women by the name of Mary PELKEY on the 185
