Hello all,
Looking over my information I have a big hole I was hoping someone could help me with. If someone would check the NEHGS for a marriage of Thomas F. Joyce (b.1876) and Margaret F. Costello about 1900 I would be very grateful. I'm not sure which New England state or Massachusetts community they married in and therefore cannot send for the marriage certificate. These are my great grandparents. They lived in Worcester, Massachusetts on the 1900 census and I think had just married because they repo
Hello Helen,
I sent you obituaries off line yesterday that listed clues to living
relatives of the Johnston's and also articles from the Fitchburg newspaper.
Cheryl
While I agree with everything that has been said here, my suggestion would
be, before you send off your $10, would be to use the NSDAR look up service to
see if John Thayer has been used for membership. Maybe he has been, and
forgive me if I missed this. Here is the link for the free look up service.
Give them all you know about him.

Hello Paul:
There is nothing in the Worcester Co., MA Probate Index for John Thayer at
that time period. Chances are he did not have a will. However, there is
information to the fact that he was in the Rev War. My suggestion would be
to send $10 to NSDAR.

When you write ask for the latest application papers on this John Thayer.
It could be that he later sold the land or deeded it over to his children or
other persons, or he died intestate. Also the wil

Wondering if anyone knows if NEHGR is going to offer
freebee period as they did a year of so ago...
ie an opportunity for non members to use their website without
charge.
I found some fascinating info but unfortunately I somehow
didn't save it correctly and have discovered that I only have
the logo and website information on 11 pages of what should be
data.
thanks

It seems Sidney had no children, Matthew no children, Peter died too far
back and I can't see his obit, Margaret the wife of William A, list two children
(Richard & Barbara) the same as for Thomas "Tim". The other two listed for
Thomas, Jalna & Linda must have been related to Thomas on his wife's side.
I will send you the addresses and phone numbers off list.

I am trying to find the marriage of my husband's great grandparents and know virtually nothing about researching US genealogy.
Both Thomas and Margaret immigrated to the US from Ireland at different times around 1859-1863. He was born abt 1845 and she abt 1842. They are married and living in Worcester in the 1870 census, their first child, Nellie, being born in 1868. The family was Catholic and I would think that they married in Worcester in 1867.
NewEnglandAncestors.org has a listing for both names in
