I don't know if this address is good only for naturalizations from a
particular time period; all the naturalization papers I've requested were for
people who immigrate from about 1904 forward and settled in Worcester.
Anyhow, this office has Worcester naturalization records:

Seems like all I have been doing lately is looking for graves.
I now need the name of a Catholic cemetery in Fitchburg that existed before
1900.
And perhaps a Church to match. Specifically one that would have attracted
French Canadians.
Now here is a story. (I hope I haven't told it before).
My granddaughter Leah (4 yrs at the time) came up to me while I was working
on the computer and asked me if I had talked to great grandma (my mom) yet,
and to ask her what heaven was like. I turned to her and ask
Does anyone have a 1860 census index for Worcester Co. MA or even just the
state of MA?
Looking for Freeman or/and Levi JOSE with wife Harriett and perhaps a son

Does anyone know what is the Cooke collection?
Someone on the MABERKSH lsit asked me if I know what
it is, no other information forthcoming, I guess.
There is mention of it on the MAWORCES genweb site.
On a page about vital records. One gets the idea it is
not exactly where all the missing Worcester County
VR's are. The chart lists practically everything as
being in that series of books by town.
Only other thing I can find on the web is mention of a

Those commandments certainly ring true, and I have another that should be
added. If it hasn't been added it should be: Thou shalt go forth and
replenish the earth, and if need be--all by yourself.
In preparing for 1930's census research, I located the enumeration
districts for the following towns in Worc. County. Possibly this
information will save someone a few minutes.
Hardwick 14-204
New Braintree 14-240
North Brookfield 14-242
Warren 14-288
West Warren 14-287
West Brookfield 14-295
Would be interested in knowing what information I would need to provide in
order to get naturalization papers. I have only a year, and Austria/Poland.

I found the McGinnis family at the bottom of page 266 and top of 277. The
names and ages seem to match up.
Which means they moved to Minnesota - probably after daught Ann married
Thomas Callahan in 1863. They do appear in the Minn State census of 1865.
One interesting name here is what looks like a Michael Gafney. Perhaps a
nephew of Mary Gaffney McGinnis?.

I wanted to order a death cert or two from Worcester County and read online that you can walk in and get uncert. copies for $6, yet it's $15 just to have a transcription mailed and more for a certified copy. Perhaps I misread it.
My question is, is there someone who goes to the County Office regularly and can look up records and do transcriptions for less than the $15 cost? I'm not asking for volunteer work here, simply looking for someone who might go in there often and do a transcription for a cost.

I am trying to locate information and descendants of William Haskell Taylor, b. Jan. 1,1827 in Framingham,. Middlesex Co.,MA; m. Oct. 12,1848 in Rutland, Worcester Co.,MA to Anna Maria Darling.
They first lived in Hubbardston, Worcester Co., and I last find them residing in Worcester, Worcester County.

Does anyone have further information about this family ?

I am looking for the marriage record of Ann McGinnis (or variation thereof
like MaGinnis, McGuinness) to a Mr. Callahan. I don't know his first name.
The family moved to Minnesota by 1865 but Ann remained behind. I don't
know if she was married before or after the rest of the family came to
Minnesota.
From a written history in Minnesota it says that the family came to
Minnesota about 1860 and that Ann remained behind in Blackstone Mass.
I have also seen 3 different years for immigration - 1850, 18
