brother to my great great grandfather. Roman Mayer was born 3/2/1816 in
Schweighausen, Baden, Germany. He was the son of Roman Mayer and Anna
Mayer. Roman and Anna were first cousins. Roman emigrated to Amerika about
a year after his 4 younger brothers did. Thaddaus, Andreas, Landolin and
Franz Karl all emigrated in 1853 on the ship Columbus from Antwerp, Belgium
