I am looking for a marriage record or something on a Robert Moffat / Moffett (spelling of last name could be off) who married a Phyllis McCallum in what I was told in Hammond Indiana. It was supposed to of taken place around 1947. Phyllis's stepfather is James "Jim" McCallum. James mother and father were James S. James S. McCALLUM was born on 11 Jan 1865 in Prescott ? , MI His mother's last name was SHARP / SHARPE who married a McCOLLUM But the name was carried over in the children as McCALLUM I was told that his mother was from Ireland. She was from the part they called the Orange Section. How do I find out if she married McCOLLUM in Ireland and came over or if she came over with her parents and met McCOLLUM and married in MI.? I saw your post and thought I would see if you just might happen to have a James S. McCALLUM in your family. He married someone with the last name SHARP or SHARPE. I believe they were married in Michigan. I was told on a STB basis that the mother came over from Ireland from the Orange Section. So I am thinking that she must have come over from Ireland with her parents. Because James S. McCALLUM was born in Michigan. Can anyone shed some light on this one? God Bless Pam
