9. David McCracon - Burke Co. NC [0.987972]
The 1790 NC state census shows that a David McCracon was the head of a household in Burke Co. that includes 2 males over 16 yrs., 1 male under 16 yrs., and 7 females. Is anyone familiar with this family? I'm interested in if this David had any daughters named Elizabeth who may have married a David Reel between 1790 and 1800. I have noted on McCracken family boards that there were two David McCrackens (Sr. and Jr.) in Burke co. NC during the late 1700s, so I'm not sure which one appears on the 1790

Hello Sharyn, I don't have info about the ship my husband's McCrackens came on to St. John, NB. Only the fact that they came from Belfast, Ireland, according to research his uncle and other relatives did more than 20 years ago. They've all passes away, so I don't know where they obtained their info. I'm still trying to figure out why Thomas went to Hazelton, PA first from NB, when others in the family went to the Boston area. It would seem there was a connection with some of the PA McCrackens. Thanks fo

Hello, Mary Emma - I lost your message until today, so am just now replying to it. I am not sure about Hugh as it has not been a family name I've seen with my McCrackens, but I'm open to anything. I guess that if you have the ship's information, I might be able to connect it with the ship my McCrackens were on. Please let me know.
